Tripician Candy Store
The History of G. Carl Tripician, Macaroons: Nicoli Tripiciano the grandfather of Gaetano Carl Tripiciano founded Tripicians on the Atlantic City Boardwalk in 1910. Tripicians soon became popular with the locals and vacationers alike for their almond and coconut macaroons and boardwalk fare. Four boardwalk locations dwindled to one, which finally left the boardwalk with the advent of casinos in 1979. The first offshore site, owned by the niece of G. Carl Tripician, preserved the fine quality and macaroon tradition. Ten years, two locations and much growth later.
