New Orleans Public Library

Algiers Point Public Library

TheLibrary stood up well to Hurricane Katrina, sustaining only minor wind damage. Its sub-basements (which house, among other things, the system's computer operations and the original materials of the City Archives) escaped the flooding that damaged so many other buildings in the Central Business District.
