CC Birthplace Museum

The Captain Cook Birthplace Museum opened on the 28th October 1978 – the 250th anniversary of Cook’s birth. It is housed in a purpose-built building close to the granite urn marking the site of Cook’s birthplace cottage in Stewart Park, Marton, Middlesbrough.

This club was great when it first opened but now it's chavtastic. It's become a bit of a dive. Having had a very bad experience just over a year ago I've never been fond of the place since.

Guisborough Priory

An Augustinian community, the priory was largely destroyed in the Dissolution of the Monasteries and the stones from it were used in other buildings in the town including Saint Nicholas' Anglican church.
