After 30 years of service, the Lido became part of a massive renovation and expansion project which turned the single screen gem into a part of the Shaw Organization's new 22 story complex. Completed in 1993, the new complex consists of 5 floors of shops and restaurants, 12 floors of office space, and a new Lido Cineplex with 5 screens

Golden Theatre is one of the oldest theaters in Singapore. Located in Golden Mile TOwer on Beach Road, Singapore, Golden was a Chinese movie palace until the late 1990s.

Heng Cathay remained a single screen until 1990, when it was refurbished and converted into 2 screens. A third screen was added in 1996. In addition to these 3 screens, Cathay Organisation built the Picturehouse next to the Cathay Building in 1990. Cathay Cinema remained Cathay Organisation's flagship cinema since the 1930's until 2000 when it was closed.

-Kreta Ayer People's Theatre is located in the heart of Singapore's Chinatown and a few distances away from Cathay's Majestic Theatre. It was opened by the Cathay Organization in the late 1970s. Like other Cathay cinemas, KA People's was leased to Golden Village in the mid 1990s for a short period.
