Our staff dinner was held here because we loved it in the past. Unfortunately, itlacked life in all areas including staff. We were the only one’s there for quite some time and still took a very long time, over an hour to get our dinners, and we were so disappointed and left starving and a lot lighter in the pocket.

Stayed in Souter for 1 night in Feb 2007...rooms were fine, although a slight problem with an electrical short in main light. Our room at the back, suspect ones at front could be noisy from traffic. Cambridge a very pleasant town, and Souter restaurant excellent. Like everywhere in NZ, wish they'd discover flyscreens.

The food here is ok, but didn’t inspire me to come back to sample anything else that the menu had to offer. The servings are a decent size and arrived reasonably promptly to our table (we were dining early though, so there weren’t many other people eating). The decor is pretty scuffed - probably due to the fact that Coyote turns into a nightclub later on in the evening - which they disguise by having very low lighting.

At the end of Brunswick Street where you’ll find a mixture of trendy food, stylish homewares, grunge and poverty, you’ll also find one of Melbourne’s most cutting edge restaurants.
