Wellington Zoo
Founded in 1906, Wellington's zoological gardens have all the traditional attractions. Zoo management has recently extended and upgraded the facilities to include such features as the Tropical River Trail, New Zealand's newest and largest habitat exhibit. Zoo inhabitants include New Zealand natives such as the kiwi, the giant weta, the black stilt and the tuatara, as well as the more exotic species like the North American bison, the Nepalese red panda and the Sitatunga antelope.

Sandwiches
Everybody loves Club Sandwiches! Located on the corner of Majoribanks & Kent Terrace in Wellington, Sandwiches the venue opened in 2003 and this year celebrates it’s third year milestone as a classy restaurant, lounge Bar and event club. From the outset, the objective was to operate a premium entertainment venue as apposed to the more “grungy” night clubs of old… you know the type – gum in the carpet, cigarette burns in the furniture, a 10 year old sound sytem, chalk-board menus, bottled water, cheap beer and liquor drinks with two cubes of ice and lime cordial instead of real ingredients. “Consistent Quality” was the aim of the Sandwiches dream. Club Sandwiches is about multiple flavours (music genres) of entertainment. offering quality artists (both of the live band and DJ variety) from around New Zealand and the world within the genres of Jazz, House, Breaks, Broken and Break beats, Drum & Bass, Hip Hop, Leftfield, Downbeat Funk, Dub Reggae and the odd Folk etc.

Wellington Cathedral of St Paul
Sixty one years went into it's design and building to create one of the largest and most spectacular spaces in New Zealand. Commissioned in the early 1930s it was to be a gothic structure from stone or brick but, after the Napier earthquake, the decision was made to build the cathedral out of reinforced concrete. Cecil Wood the original architect died before the drawings were complete. Successive architects attempted to deviate from his original vision, to disastrous effect.
