Where To Go In London

Some of the most obvious places to see in London include: Westminster abbey- this is a place where a number of rulers are buried and it has hosted several coronations and such through to this day. Constructed in the early 16th century, though its shrines go back to the 12th century, there are memorials to royalty and to figures like Shakespeare, Dickens, Newton and Darwin. In the vault is the Abbey Treasure Museum.

Buckingham palace- it is in use for the many official events and gatherings held by the Queen, certain areas of Buckingham Palace are opened to visitors on a customary basis. The State Rooms of the Palace are open to visitors during the yearly summer opening in August and September.

Oxford Street – this is a street that all the possible shops to go window shopping and even indulge in buying considering the price and quality.

Royal college of surgeons- this is an absolutely enthralling museum that has a lot of preserved variety
 
Barnet – this is a land cleared by burning.

Big Ben- this is the international icon of London, and looks most spectacular at night when the clock faces are light up. The 95-meter clock tower was constructed in 1858 and takes its name from Benjamin Hall, the first commissioner of works. The name Big Ben does not refer to the clock tower itself, but to the thirteen-ton bell that is hung within.

Clerkenwell – at spring time this is a very famous hangout where students from various universities and schools gather around and have a chat and group discussions.

Dulwich – it is a marshy meadow where dill grows in abundances.

Ealing – this is a very prominent place where there is a dwelling of the people from the Gilla’s. It is a place where their homes are located. 

Greenwich – a rich green dwelling place that looks more beautiful in the evenings and nights.

Hammersmith – this is a place with a hammer smithy.

Knightsbridge – this is a bridge where two knights fought and thereby has become one of the most visited places by the Londoners and the tourist.

Lambeth – this is one of the landing places for the lambs

Mayfair – this is named after the 17th-century May Fair

Neasden –a place with a nose-shaped hill and countless people accumulate in the evenings.

Roehampton –this is a traditional farm like looking place where rooks are seen.

Soho – this is a well known hunting ground where So-ho was called.
