Both the airports of Dallas are well connected to the main city center. The roads connecting these airports to the rest of the city are generally full of traffic. Traveling through these roads can be a problem some times. Although the crow flight is not much, you may need two to three hours to reach the down town area some times, if you reach Dallas by air at rush hours. The interstate highway 635, Expressway 75 and Bush Turnpike may be crowded during the rush hours. These roads can take you directly to the main city, but you may need to spend more time to reach Dallas city center while using these highways.

If you want to avoid the traffic and rush, shuttle service may be a much better idea to reach the city centre. The DART bus services are also very efficient and less costly. Dallas is a highly populated city. In the urban areas of this level of population density, rush and traffic are always a problem.
