Schools in Calgary
The Schools in Calgary are divided into areas according to the way the population is spread throughout the city. The Parkdale Region is one such area.
And covers about 28 communities expanding from the southwest and northwest regions of the city. There are around 15,000 students enrolled in the schools in this region. The entire city is broke down into areas like this. This sort of system is good for the schools in Calgary.The “Ernest Manning High School” region contains about 20% of the total population.
“Abbeydale School” is not a large school but is an example of a typical school found throughout the communities of Calgary. This particular school has about 19 classrooms and the building is situated on over two acres of land. It has a well equipped play area and provides a safe environment. This school covers the grades of kindergarten to grade 6.
In addition to the public schools there is also a full selection of catholic schools as well that are run by the catholic school board. There are also several private schools here amongst the schools in Calgary. All of the schools are manned by well experienced and trained teachers. There is good student to teacher ratio in the majority of the schools here.
New Media Campus
New Media Campus is an educational facility focused on training and educating students to enter the world of 3D Animation/Game Design, Classical Animation, and Multimedia, at a world-class level. New Media Campus has set a precedent for being the first privately owned post-secondary school to have accreditation in high schools in the province of Saskatchewan through the CPT resource program.
