Movies in Banff

Banff is an absolutely unique place to visit and so is the cinema in Banff. Reason is, its like going to the movies years ago.

There is nothing fancy about the “Lux Cinema“. It’s simple and clean. The seats are comfortable and the atmosphere is plain but comforting. There are four screens in total. Not quite like the 12 and 15 screen theatres that many of us are used to, but it doesn’t seem to matter here in Banff.

There really isn’t a requirement for bigger cinemas in Banff. It’s primarily a tourist area and vacationers don’t want to spend all their time at the theatre, when there is so much more to see.The cinema in Banff is there primarily for the use of the residents of Banff to take advantage of. The tourists certainly do go to the theatre.

 Usually when they want a family evening of entertainment or just a night to relax. It’s such a busy place to vacation in and the magnificent quality of the air tends to put people to bed at a fairly early hour. The residents and kids from the city are happy with the “Lux Cinema“. This theatre runs all the most up to date and current movies of many different categories.
