There is a comprehensive network of libraries in Sydney, all with an objective to foster life long learning. The Readers' Groups offered by the libraries in Sydney are free and provide an opportunity to socialize in a relaxed atmosphere imparting knowledge exchange and applicative strategies.
The City of Sydney Library Network has an extensive array of collections of books with over 400,000 books, music CDs plus videos and DVDs featuring movie classics, documentaries, travel and children's programs. Most of the books collection here offers books in foreign languages as well such as Chinese, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Spanish, Thai and Vietnamese, thus, making it easier for the foreign students to make way into the academics here.

State Library of New South Wales
The State Library of New South Wales traces its origins to 1826, with the opening of the Australian Subscription Library. In 1869, the New South Wales Government took over responsibility for the Library and created the Sydney Free Public Library. In 1895 it was renamed the Public Library of New South Wales, and in 1975 it became the State Library of New South Wales.

Sydney Water Library
Sydney Water provides drinking water, recycled water, wastewater services and some stormwater services to more than four million people in Sydney, Illawarra and the Blue Mountains. Drinking water is sourced from a network of dams managed by the Sydney Catchment Authority, then treated and delivered to customers' homes and businesses by Sydney Water.

Sydney Conservatorium of Music Library

Since its inception, the Sydney Conservatorium has been reinventing the musical experience.
