One of the biggest cultural venue located at the Peachtree street is the Woodruff Arts Center. It is an architectural wonder with its glass and stone building. The building was built by Donald Woodruff, Coca Cola corporation’s head at that time.

The places which depict Atlanta’s culture to its best are the High Museum of Arts which is a located near to the Arts Center and hosts many cultural events, The Louver, and the Fox Theatre. The theatre was built in 1929, and now houses everything ranging from ballet to Broadway.The Center of Puppetry Arts is an excellent place for both kids and adults alike; it offers puppet shows which kids really love to watch. The center also has a museum attached to it, which shows the craft of puppet making as an art and its history.

The center also holds sessions in puppet making for those who want to learn, this an special treat for kids who are enchanted by the puppets and get to know the craft as a hobby.The Atlanta symphony Orchestra is a famed orchestra with a long history, the orchestra came into existence back in the 1940’s and since then has had a considerable number of famous concerts to its credit.The Fox Theatre is a famous landmark, which stages at least four operas every year, this fabulous theatre is a big attraction for tourists with its exotic interiors. The theatre is the center of the cultural scene in Atlanta.

The Alliance Theatre Company is also located inside the Woodruff Arts Center which is practically a home to all the cultural happenings in Atlanta, the company stages contemporary American dramas and occasionally some European performances. The theatre also hosts the summer film festival which shows both the classics and the contemporary Hollywood hits on the big screen.The Atlanta Ballet is the oldest dance company operating in the United States, it started some 75 years back, and shows performances during the winter, spring and autumn seasons. The performances consist of jazz, theatre, dance and classical music.
